Some Pictures of The Cake and Decorations For My Parents 55th Anniversary Party

We had the anniversary party yesterday and not everything went as we had hoped. You can read more about it on my cooking blog.

I have included one picture to give you an idea of how the ribbon decorating went although the decorating doesn't look as impressive in the picture as it did in person.

My sister-in-law Debbie made the cake the morning of the party so I was able to snap a few pictures of her in the process. The cake turned out great as you will see.

Upcoming in future posts will be on the food we served. Here is the beginning of the blog on our parents anniversary party.

See you on the next post,

Robin

My Parents 55th Wedding Anniversary Party Ideas

I've started writing in my other blog about me and my siblings giving my parents an anniversary party for their 55th wedding anniversary. Not too many couples even make it to 50 so this is a special party.

I am sharing our ideas to help you with your next party. The size of our party is relatively small. Only 35 to 40 people. I am going to share with you our party decorating ideas as well as our menu and other ideas for having a successful party.

This party won't be a surprise mainly because of my mom's poor health. We wanted to be sure she even wanted a party and even how many people she wanted.

So check it out if you are looking for party ideas. I figure if I can find just one good idea then it is worth checking out.

If you have any party ideas you would like to share, I'd be happy to post them on my website blog. You can send them to me here if you like. I'd love to hear from you.

I will also plan to include pictures so you can see what we did. These won't be up for a while. Probably not until after the party on July 8th.

Hope you had a great 4th of July,

Robin

A Couple Of New Recipes

I've got two new recipes for you to try on my cooking website.

The first one is a tropical smoothie recipe. This is a very refreshing drink that not only tastes great, it's easy and fast to make and it's incredibly healthy for you. This smoothie recipe isn't loaded with a bunch of sugar either.

The only sugar comes from the fruit. Mainly the mandarin oranges, pineapple and banana. Check it out. You'll love the flavor.

My second recipe is quite tasty too. Summer is a great time to cook up some steak fajitas on the bbq.

The secret to great fajitas is the marinade. Check mine out. Just make sure you marinade for at least 8 hours. I like to do mine overnight so the meat is super tender.

Regards,
Robin
