Easy Mexican Dessert Recipe - Almendrado

Looking for an easy Mexican dessert to finish off that wonderful Mexican meal? I've got a special one for you to try. This is called Almendrado or the Mexican Flag dessert.

How did it get that name? Well, it sort of resembles the Mexican flag with it's green, white, and red layers (pink really). But it does have a festive look to it don't you think?

And the toasted almonds sprinkled on top give a wonderful crunch to this otherwise light and refreshing dessert. I absoulutely love the almond flavor too. This is a great dessert after a heavy meal which is usually the case when you are having Mexican food.

So be sure and check out my easy mexican dessert recipe I'm convinced you'll love it.

Until next time,
Robin

Homemade Salsa Recipe

I've added another homemade salsa recipe to my site. This is perfect for Cinco De Mayo which is coming up in a few days.

This new recipe is an avocado melon salsa and is a must try. Not only is it very tasty is incredibly healthy too.

Now with all the fresh produce that's out there, it's the perfect time to pick up some fresh vegetables and herbs and chop away. Here's what's in the recipe. See if it doesn't tempt you just a little bit.

We've got tomatoes, avocado, canteloupe, red onion, fresh garlic, cilantro, salt, lime juice, yellow bell peppers and a touch of olive oil. Chop all of the above up and you've got yourself some awesome salsa. What could be better?

So check out my site and whip up some great tasting mexican food. And make salsa a part of your life. Remember, it's all about taste.

Regards,
Robin
