An Easy Mexican Dessert - Almendrado



Looking for a light easy mexican dessert to finish off a big Mexican dinner? Just look at that picture. Well this dessert is one great way to do it. I absolutely love the almond flavor in this recipe. And the nuts really make it too.

The colorful red, white and green part is flavored egg whites. This is to represent the Mexican flag and is sometimes called the Mexican flag dessert.

I think it would also make a great 4th of July dessert. Just change the color to red, white and blue. What a versatile easy Mexican dessert this is. But the best part is the taste.

Heck I love this dessert so much I'd even consider coloring the "flag" orange for Halloween and green and red for Christmas.
